Welcome to The Paleo Scholar, a blog devoted to college students (or anyone) wishing to thrive on the Paleo Diet on a tight budget and schedule!
Especially in a college setting, avoiding the Standard American Diet (SAD) can be extremely difficult since it is the fastest, cheapest option for food and everyone else is eating that Ramen, Fast Food, and Sugar! So choosing the radically different Paleo Diet with little money, little kitchen space, and little time can seem like a crazy choice, even if it is for health reasons, such as an autoimmune disease or weight loss.
However, from experience attending a tiny liberal arts college in the middle of rural Kansas, it's not impossible! In fact, the Paleo Diet has helped me to thrive and achieve a high GPA, two majors, and a job, all while dealing with an autoimmune disease. I firmly believe you too can be happy and healthy on the Paleo Diet while living a college life fully. It doesn't have to be an ultimatum!
I encourage you to browse around this website and check out my recipes and advice on how to thrive on the Paleo Diet in college.
